North Sea Jazz Festival poster competition

For the North Sea Jazz Festival poster competition, I designed a lively poster and t-shirt mock-up that capture the festival's spirit. I wanted to convey the energy and diversity of jazz music, using bold colors and rhythmic patterns to reflect the atmosphere of the event. My design aims to connect with both jazz lovers and newcomers. It was a fun chance to combine my love for music with my graphic design skills!

Process:

This project kicked off with a lot of brainstorming, because i could go a lot of ways due to no rules. I played around with different themes and visuals, thinking about how to best represent the spirit of jazz and the festival.

I decided to use collage typography, mixing collage letterss, textures and torn paper to create a fun, layered look.

It was a fun experience that allowed me to have full creative freedom. I loved merging my love for music and design into a cohesive visual concept!
